What's the format?
Day 1 on 27th May is a half-day programme, starting in the afternoon and followed by a drinks reception. Day 2 on 28th May is a full day programme. Across two days and two stages, you’ll hear from world-class speakers, join thought-provoking discussions and meet peers in our exhibition and networking spaces.
Is the conference catered?
Day 1 - 27th May (half day programme) - coffee, tea and snacks, with an early evening drinks reception.
Day 2 - 28th May (full day programme) - fully catered.
Who attends DataFest?
More than 600 delegates join us each year - from industry, academia, public sector and the third sector. Attendees range from business leaders and policymakers to professionals, researchers, and students.
Do I need to bring a printed ticket?
No, a printed ticket is not required. You can simply show your digital ticket or confirmation email at the registration desk to gain entry to the event.
Are group discounts available?
Yes, we can offer discounts for groups of 5 or more. Get in touch with us via the contact page.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket. Just contact our team with the new attendee’s name and email address at least 48 hours before the event starts.
What your the refund policy?
You may request a refund up to 2 weeks before the event.
When will the agenda and speakers be announced?
We’ll begin announcing speakers and programme details in late 2025. Join The Data Lab Community to be the first to hear updates.

How do i get to the venue?
The Assembly Rooms is located at 54 George St, Edinburgh EH2 2LR, in the heart of the city centre. It’s easy to reach on foot, by public transport, or by car.
Car
Set your sat nav to EH2 2LR, or make your way into Edinburgh and follow signs for the city centre. There’s on-street parking along George Street and in the surrounding streets (metered during the day), and multi-level car parks at Castle Terrace of the Omni Centre.
Airport
Edinburgh Airport is 30 minutes away by tram or taxi.
Tram and bus
Several bus routes and the Edinburgh Tram stop nearby.
Train
Edinburgh Waverley Station is a 10-minute walk.
Where should I stay?
There are plenty of hotels within walking distance of the Assembly Rooms, from budget to premium. We recommend booking early, as late May is a busy time in Edinburgh.
