After going through all the great submissions a hard evaluation process, the DataTech organising committee has announced the full lineup of speakers for the first DataTech.
Ten global experts in data science, including the BBC’s ‘face of space’ Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, have been announced as speakers at Data Summit, the two-day international conference that forms part of the data innovation festival, DataFest19, being held in Scotland this March.
Christopher Wylie, the whistle blower in the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data scandal which made headlines around the world, will be a keynote speaker at DataFest 19, the UK’s first two-week festival of Data Innovation in Scotland.
DataFest 19, the UK’s first two-week festival of Data Innovation in Scotland which kicks-off 100 days from today [Monday 3rd December], has confirmed the latest keynote speakers for its DataSummit and DataTech events. Dr Sue Black, Professor of Computer Science and Technology Evangelist at Durham University, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for DataSummit, the two-day international conference taking place in Edinburgh from 21st March.
We are delighted to announce our complete list of keynote speakers for the upcoming DataTech19 conference (organised by The Data Lab as part of DataFest), which now includes Debbie Bard, expert in machine learning at scale and data-intensive computing for experimental science, from the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC).
We are pleased to announce our second confirmed keynote speaker for DataTech19: Mine Çetinkaya-Rundel (Associate Professor of the Practice, Duke University, and Data Scientist + Professional Educator at RStudio). Mine’s work focuses on innovation in statistics and data science pedagogy, with an emphasis on computation, reproducible research, student-centered learning, and open-source education.
We are pleased to announce our first confirmed keynote speaker for DataTech19: Jared Lander, Chief Data Scientist of Lander Analytics (a data science consultancy based in New York City) and Adjunct Professor of Statistics at Columbia University.
