DataFest 2022 Fringe Events
We’re delighted to announce that our call for fringe events at DataFest 2022 is now open! We’re looking for organisations, companies, charities, individuals, and anyone in between to host their own events between the 24th of October and the 1st of November as part of DataFest 2022. We’ll help you any way we can – we’ve got excellent networks of relationships across the UK and the world to promote your event to, whether it’s online or in person.

DataFest 2022 – why you should get involved
We don’t say this lightly, but this year’s DataFest is shaping up to be our most exciting ever. We have astronomers, nanotechnologists, quantum computing experts, data leaders, entrepreneurs, and many, many more all joining us to discuss how data and artificial intelligence may be harnessed to make the world a better place. Our announced speakers so far are Professor Elham Kashefi, Dr Becky Smethurst, Tamara Lohan, Priya Lakhani, Dr Laura Tripaldi, and Dr Giovanna Giardino – and there are many more to be announced. So wherever you are in the world, if this is the kind of company you’d like to keep we’d love to have you involved in Datafest22!
What are we looking for?
We want the fringe to be as exciting and diverse as possible so we’re open to all kinds of plans and ideas for events. In the past we’ve had lectures, networking events, hackathons, film screenings, satellite building workshops, art exhibitions, poetry readings – you name it, we’ve had it and loved it. So long as it fits the DataFest ethos (showcasing innovative uses of data and AI) and it’s logistically feasible, we’re very likely to be on board. If you have an idea for something truly out there that doesn’t fit the traditional mould, just get in touch and we’ll see what we can do! We’re especially keen to have more people from the creative industries involved.
