We are delighted to be partnering with The Data Lab to bring Data Talent Scotland to the Scottish Technology Event Calendar.
Data Talent Scotland 2018 will, once again, provide the business community in Scotland with a collider event designed to bring together both the best Thought Leadership on the subject of Data Talent with some practical, pragmatic information for those involved at practitioner level.
For MBN Solutions, this event provides us with a showcase for the variety of ways we engage with the Scottish Data space. From presenting our findings and research, to hosting in-depth panel discussions, through passing on our experience in the form of Workshops and, most importantly, being able to engage with many of the attendees on a face-to-face basis, this day is very much one of the highlights of our busy events schedule.
This will be our third year of participation in DTS and we are pleased to note the increased level of interest in all things “Data Talent” in Scotland over the last few years. As a business that operates across many business sectors in a variety of international markets, we frequently hear from Data practitioners in areas outside Scotland who look on with envious eyes at events such as this – a visible manifestation of the collective, collaborative will around Data Talent that exists within the Scottish Technology community.
With previous speakers, guests, hosts and participants from organisations such as Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, SAS, UNICEF, Aquila Insight, TSB, NHS Scotland, Mallzee and The Scottish Government we have set a very high collective standard over previous years and we are very much looking forward (and rather excited, to be honest!) in seeing who might be taking to the stage, exhibiting and presenting workshops at this year’s Data Talent Scotland.
Joining these organisations for a day of collaboration, however, are the real stars of the show – the Scottish Data Talent community. From primary school pupils to secondary school students, from Undergraduates through to PhD students, from those beginning their journey as Data professionals to those seasoned industry professionals who have helped to shape and define the Data community – this event is all about providing a showcase for dialogue and a forum for collaboration.
Many of these seasoned industry professionals will be repeat visitors to the event – having attended the forum in previous years – and we are always delighted to hear of careers being shaped and assisted by attendance at this event. From all ends of the Data Talent spectrum, the soft and hard skill practitioners, the tools and technologies, approaches and techniques – this is the place to come to meet Data Talent!
Businesses involved in attracting or nurturing Data Talent in Scotland will find no better forum for engaging with fresh thoughts, ideas and opinions on this most topical of subjects and we at MBN Solutions are proud to have been instrumental in the genesis of this now established forum. We have consistently championed the collaborative approach to Data Talent problem solving and the benefits that such an approach can bring to the nation and in Data Talent Scotland 2018 we are looking forward to working, once again, with like-minded individuals and organisations.
